Various jobs have been art related in one way or another, most favorite of all has been 25 years of marriage to Dennis and the raising of our beautiful daughter, Cathryn.
Art has been at the center of my life ever since I was a Small Child. My mom taught me to weave on the pot holder loom and to use the "knitting Machine" aka laarge wooden spool with four nails in the end! I would sit for hours and watch her crochet edgings for towels and sheets that she would give as wedding gifts. Being left handed she somehow taught me how to crochet. I tray to do a little every chance I get. Crafts "ran" in the family--my Grandma on daddy's side would crochet and do a little knitting, she also worked in a flower shop and taught me a lot of basics. Granny on mom's side crocheted, quilted, tatted, did cut work, and sewed by hand many of the things that her family used. I do not however remember mom or granma telling me about any of my ancestors weaving or spinning,--but I am sure that some where in the mix, there was one or two! I am very grateful to God for the rich legacy given to me through my family and I hope that I am honoring Him by what I am able to create through my arts and crafts.
