I have been sewing since I was age 5. I love beautiful clothes and jewelry. Most of my adult life has been spent sewing, and I have my own shop in Evans, Louisiana not far from where I live now. I do not sew for the public anymore, but still love to dress, design and co-ordinate different ensemble designs.
I am a member of The Woodville Spinning and Weaving Guild and also The Spinners and Weavers of Imperial Calcasieu Guild. I love to collect antiques and build things. I spin, weave, paint and design my own jewelry. I take part in activities associated with re-enactment, restoration and preservation of the fiber arts such as those at Heritage Villiage, teaching and encouraging the fiber arts.
I have always been fascinated with old and unique items. My home is a sprawling log cabin with 2 story kitchen/common designed and furnished with items I have collected and rescued. It is located near the banks of the Sabine River at Evans, Louisiana where I love to scout and retieve old drift wood to work into creations of art.
