FIBER FOR-'EM

LIZ ARTHUR

I have always been a fiber and textile-a-holic. I started Machine Knitting in 1988 on a garage sale machine with no local support and a manual written in Japanese. I had never seen a machine operate and because I knew no one who had a machine I did everything the hard way.

Since then I have graduated to updated machines and have more of them than I care to count. (they are like potato chips, you can not have just one). I have all gauges of machines and a fair representation of brands. I have attended as many classes and conventions as I can possibly get to and have just about every Machine Knitting publication know to man. i love techniques, edges and trims, but my favorite thing to make is sweaters.

I am a founding member of the DFW Machine Knitters Guild where I am a regular demonstrator. I am also the clubs Officer in Charge of All Things Computer- or Webmaster. You can check out our website at MFDFW. There you will find tons of photos of Garments made by our members as well as free machine knitting patterns. I am also a member of the North Texas Machine Knitters Guild and have demonstrated for them as well.

I am always on the hunt to promote machine knitting. I love how creative you can be and how quickly you can have results.
