TEACHER PROFILE
FIBER FOR-'EM
PEGGY LATHROP

|
My introduction to fiber started back in grade school when our Girl Scout troop wove squares to make afghans for the soldiers in Korea.
Peggy weaves, spins, knits, crochets and has tried several other fiber related arets. She discovered knitting machines after retiring from her nursing career and has not looked back. Her favorite is the Circular Sock Knitting Machine, or CSM. Although there are a few newer ones, most of these machines are antiques from the late 1800's to early 1900's.
She is a member of the Dallas-Ft. Worth Machine Knitters Guild, North Texas Machine Knitters Guild, Dallas Handweavers and Spinners Guild, Texas Twisters, and the CSMSA.
My husband and I live in Garland, TX with our old dog Beethoven, in our "Playhouse for Retired Persons".
