My craft of spinning and weaving first grew out of getting back to basics and gardening. In my garden I grow brown and white cotton for spinning and weaving. I learned to spin and weave in 1989. I work with cotton but also work with wool. I have demonstrated at local festivals and schools.I continue to perfect my craft by attending workshops. I am a memeber of Spinners and Weavers of Imperial Calcasieu since 1989 and a certified Louisiana Artist.

I have demonstrated and done workshops at the Jean Lafitte Prairie Acadian Cultural Center in Eunice since 1990. I feel strongly about preserving the tradition of Acadian Brown cotton spinning and weaving as well as weaving and spinning in general.
