"I have been crocheting since I was a little girl of eight, but I only recently got into sheep with the help of a comment from my husband (who was tired of mowing the grass) and a friend (who heard of some sheep for sale on the radio). After caring for a ewe named Alice and her lamb Peabody I realized I wanted to raise sheep. After doing some research I chose Marsh romney as the breed I wanted.

The Romney has the reputation of having the finest micron wool for the long-wool breeds and has proven in its long history to be a very adaptable breed. It's basic character is a very mellow temperament, which is where I got the name of my farm- Marsh Mellow Meadows. You'll notice when you buy wool from my farm is that it will have a name attached to it. Each of my sheep has it's own name besides an ear tag for identification. I have only a flock of 43 so keeping track of my sheep is a lot easier by sight than by reading numbers.

Recently I've been learning about dyeing and mixing colors. It's become quite exciting to compare and share enthusiasm with others. I sell and demonstrate G&K dyes. I teach workshops on dyeing with these dyes and will be glad to talk to you about schedualing a workshop ."
