The Running Moon Farm Studio

Welcome!
Here is the working entrance to the Studio, come on in!
The Entrance Room
Here is the entrance room to the shop. This room has the yarns, spinning supplies, knitting needles, tools etc. that are on hand for sale. Its set up so we can have small workshops in here too.

Beautiful Finished Goods are displayed here

For Sale items are displayed in this room
The Spinning Room
the Spinning Room, where the spinning wheels are kept, and I do my spinning
Of Course Camie (my German Angora Rabbit) is trying to decide if she wants to try the Majacraft Susie!

I think she would just rather play with this cardboard tube!
The Knitting Room
This is the new Knitting room where the Knitting Machines are located. I am still reorganizing in this room, but getting closer and closer to being able to work in here comfortably.

I keep moving it around, but slowly I am getting it more like I want it.
At least I have the Auto Knitter where I can get to it now to work with it
The Kitchen
This is where we dye, and I do my summer canning here, too.

When we have workshops we use this area to put the food and gather at break times!
The Laundry
Here is where we wash our fleeces after they are shorn and dyed.
There are 3 working washing machines, of course you can only see two .
The Workroom
Here you can see part of the 3rd washer and the area where we do the
bead work and other things that require
the tools, beads, stones and findings that we need.
The paint is for the wheels, and Ceramics.
The Carding Room
This is also the room where the fleeces are carded into beautiful batts, & where I paint the wheels. I do my designing here,
make labels etc.

Since I have added the Davis/Furber Carding Machine I have had to re-arrange the room for it. Its big and takes up the middle of the room
The Weaving Studio
It seems I am always changing the weaving room around. I am keeping it ready for students to work in, but also since the Fiber For-'em requires the workshop looms, I have folded them and stored them in a corner ready to go in September. That meant I could move everything around in the room and give myself lots more room--so it was in motion AGAIN! I won't say the comment Lloyd made!.

the workshop looms: one on the left is a Harrisville 24 inch 8 harness loom, the one on the right is a LeClerc Artistat 36 inch 4 harness loom
both of these looms are LeClerc Artistats, the one on the left a 36 inch 4 harness and the one on the right a 24 inch 4 harness
They will all be at the Fiber For-'em in September for Students.
If you want to take a class for weaving, let me know and I will let you know the schedual. I will work with you to make it easy for you to work the hours that you have available to come to the studio, and also one that will fit my schedual. I rent the student looms out in the Studio and you can work on the loom until your project is finished. Classes are paid in advance and I do require a time frame for weaving projects. Yarn is available for your project at the studio.

the Warping Reel, the first one Lloyd made, is used by all, and has measured out yards and yards for the looms
Now I have a new arrangement in the room and I am enjoying it so much.
here are just a few pictures of what it is like now
