The Doffer Stick is used to remove batts from your drum carder. By keeping an equal pressure across the width of the drum, batts will remove organized without stretching or tearing.

After breaking the batt at the division point, ease about an inch or so off the drum. Tuck the end of the batt around the doffer stick and into the crevice where the plastic attaches to the wood.

Holding the fiber firm to the stick begin rolling the fiber onto the stick, rotating the drum until the entire batt has been removed.

Now you simply unroll the batt from the stick and it's ready for spinning.
