Begin by grasping the carding board by the top bar and combing the fiber downward with the flick card in smooth strokes.
The fiber should become smooth and organized in straight lines as you comb the fiber.
Begin to comb the fiber upward in a smooth, firm stroke, being careful not to destroy the integrity of the fibers.
Comb the fibers upwards toward the top of the board and off the top edge.
Continue combing until all fibers are moved to the top of the board.
Comb the fibers off the top edge of the carding cloth, be careful not to destroy the alignment of the fibers.
Grasp the fiber by the end and pull it upward off the carding board.
The fiber should be loose and fluffy.
Lay your miniature batt on a flat surface.
Roll the small batt into a rolag, either horizontally or vertically.
You can make a puni by rolling the batt up on a very smooth dowel. Twist the fiber on the dowel until it's tight and small. Remove the puni form the dowel and it's ready to spin.
