This beautiful Traveller was my demo wheel until I painted the Joy when I decided I needed a new wheel to demo with. A wonderful Spinner this wheel is equipted with a lace flyer, nostepinde mount hook, oil bottle keeper, and 4 standard bobbins. The Stain is Pickle Oak, and painted in a Sheep theme. The sheep on the Wheel are Black Welch Mountain, with Cheviot on the treadles, shetland and Blackfaced on the platform. Clovers, Garlic, Heather, wild rose, and other herbs grace this wheel. The roses on the wheel are sandstone painted.
It is double treadled, and has a lace flyer Assembly. The bearing make this wheel a fast spinner with little to no vibration.
Platform and Pitman rods are beautifully detailed, with the Lazy Kate holding 3 standard bobbins and an oil keeper on the near side mother of all post. A nostepinde hook is mounted just below the Wheel post in wrought iron.
All legs and uprights are detailed with flowers and herbs to enhance the dramatic effect of this wheel. Wheel is signed and dated.
